We met for you Margherita Vindigni, a well known make-up artist born in Sicily, who has made excellent collaborations with important firms in the Fashion industry, such as Louis Vuitton.
She started he career working at the Make Up School of Make Up Forever, in Milan, and now owns the MV Make Up Studio, in Modica, a well established reality in the Make Up sector and look advisory throughout Italy.
Pioneer in the dermal pigmentation sector, she enlightened us in the so-called permanent make-up, to be not confused with the traditional tattoo.
A.: What is the difference between the permanent (or semi-permanent) make-up from the traditional tattoo?
M.: Traditional tattoo should not be applied on eyebrows, eyes and lips, where bio-pigments that can be adsorbed from our organism should be used, instead. The permanent make-up has born indeed to define or rebuild (partially or entirely) those areas.
A.: Why did you dedicate yourself to the dermal pigmentation (with a particular attention to eyebrows)?
M.: I would like to spend a bit more words on this answer, if you allow me (A: of course!). I approached this discipline because I am convinced that eyebrows represent the 70% of a good make-up. Not only: they also are a way to improve the face morphology. Defining their width, thickness and arch shape allows us to open the eyes look and shape, at least partially, the facial features and the eye cut. Moreover we know that very often we create empty spaces and asymmetries through the eyebrows hair removal. And it will be almost impossible to refill those spaces naturally. To not speak about those people that are under chemotherapy, or suffer of alopecia. For all those people the permanent make-up can be a precious ally. Finally, people never talks enough about it, but: never agree to undergo a session of permanent make-up with tattoo inks. Always ask before the treatment which is the nature of the products that will be used. Today we can reach ultra-realistic results with the most advanced techniques and very safe materials.
A.: How much does it cost the session, and how long it lasts?
M.: The cost of one session is justified by the quality of the used materials: certified pigments, needles and other instruments must rigorously be disposable. The prices go from 350 to 450€, depending if it is a partial eyebrow arch reconstruction, or complete. The dermal pigmentation stars, like Ennio Orsini and Valentina Tecchio may ask up to 800€ for a single session. Unfortunately the permanent make-up has a limited duration: 12 months in average, but it depends on the customer skin and maintenance. A constant sun exposure without any protection will speed up the fading of the treatment.

Abbiamo incontrato per voi Margherita Vindigni, nota make up artist siciliana, che vanta nel suo curriculum collaborazioni importanti come quella con Louis Vuitton.
Margherita Vindigni ha lavorato come Make Up Artist presso la Make Up School di MakeUp Forever di Milano, ed è ora titolare del MV Make Up Studio, in Modica, realtà affermata nel settore del make up e della consulenza di immagine su tutto il territorio siciliano e oltre.
Pioniera nel settore della dermopigmentazione, ci ha offerto qualche delucidazione in merito al trucco permanente o semipermanente che viene così chiamato per differenziarlo dal tattoo tradizionale.
A.: Cosa distingue il trucco permanente o semipermanente dal tattoo tradizionale?
M.: Il tattoo tradizionale non va assolutamente adoperato per sopracciglia, occhi e labbra. Bisogna infatti ricorrere a pigmenti bioriassorbibili, colori che possano essere fagocitati dal nostro organismo. Il trucco permanente nasce per ridefinire o ricostruire (parzialmente o totalmente) le suddette aree.
A.: Come mai ti sei specializzata nella dermopigmentazione con particolare riguardo alle sopracciglia?
M.: Vorrei spendere un po’ di parole in piú su questo argomento, se mi permetti (A.: ma certo!) Mi sono accostata a questa disciplina perché sono convinta non solo che le sopracciglia costituiscano il 70% di un buon make up ma che rappresentino uno strumento di correzione della morfologia del volto. Definirne larghezza, spessore e arcata ci consente di aprire lo sguardo e di correggere in parte la fisionomia del viso, nonché il taglio degli occhi. Inoltre sappiamo benissimo che spesso, a causa di una eccessiva depilazione, creiamo vuoti e asimmetrie che non sarà più possibile riempire naturalmente. Per non parlare di chi si sottopone a chemioterapia o ha subito le conseguenze dell’alopecia. Il trucco permanente può davvero essere un valido alleato. Non viene detto abbastanza, non se ne parla molto ma: non accettate MAI di sottoporvi a lavori di trucco permanente con inchiostro da tattoo. Oggi è possibile ottenere risultati ultra realistici, abbiamo a disposizione tecniche sempre più avanzate e materiali sempre più sicuri.
A.: Quanto costa una seduta e che durata ha?
M.: Il costo di una seduta è fortemente legato alla qualità dei materiali usati: pigmenti certificati, aghi e tutto il materiale esclusivamente monouso: dai 350 € ai 450 € a seconda si tratti di una ricostruzione parziale o completa dell’arcata sopraccigliare. I grandi della dermopigmentazione (Ennio Orsini, Valentina Tecchio) possono richiedere anche 750/800 € per una seduta. Il trucco permanente ha una durata limitata nel tempo: mediamente di 12 mesi, ma spesso dipende dalla pelle trattata e dalla manutenzione effettuata dal cliente. Ad esempio una costante e non protetta esposizione al sole farà sbiadire molto più velocemente il trattamento.
